Film South Florida: Describe Momentos en Tiempo in 20 words or less.
          
Hernandez: Journey into nostalgia with one couple as they rediscover precious moments of their youth in 1958 Cuba.              
Film South Florida: What was the film’s source of inspiration?
            
Hernandez: A little over a year ago my parents found some dusty old 16mm film reels in their garage that had not seen the light of day in over four decades. I made Momentos en Tiempo as a gift to my parents, who've lived a half century together in two different lands. Initial response to the movie was so good from family and strangers alike, that I decided to clean up the movie and release it to film festivals. One of my dreams was realized last year when my folks saw the past moments of their lives—in pre-Castro Cuba—up on the big screen.  
           
Film South Florida: What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome while making Momentos en Tiempo?
          
Hernandez: Learning how to produce the whole thing, as this was my first film project.  
              
Film South Florida: What was the most memorable moment of making the film?
              
Hernandez: Experiencing life as my parents lived it before I was even a gleam in their eyes. 
             
Film South Florida: How important is it that Momentos en Tiempo is screening during the PBIFF?
              
Hernandez: Very important, particularly because of its South Florida location. Folks can get a true glimpse of life in Cuba in another era. Also, this will enable some of my family members to attend.
              
Film South Florida: How has living in Florida shaped your vision as a filmmaker?
              
Hernandez: This is a great state for filmmakers. The filmmaking industry down here is just about ready to explode. There's awesome talent here.  It's so exciting to work with great budding actors, to watch their passion transform your story onto the big screen.
